This document explains how to view news items.
Viewing News in KB Admin Tools
Click the News tab in KB Admin Tools.
Enter the ID number of the news item you would like to view in the ID or comma delimited IDs field and click the Go button.
If you do not know the ID number of the news item you'd like to view, you can search for the article. For more information on searching news items, see KB User's Guide - News Tab - Searching for News Items. Once you have located the news item you'd like to review, click the News Title link.
Viewing a news item allows you to see the content of the news article, including activation and expiration dates, who originally posted the item, and any edits or updates that have been made and who they were made by.
To reuse this news item, click on the News Title you desire to reuse. This will open the News Item, click the Save as New Item XXXXX as a new news item button on the bottom of the page. This will create a new news article with a new, distinct ID, but all content will be retained.

Viewing News Items in the Live Sites
- Your News items can be displayed front and center on your live KB site by creating a Content Module. Below, you will see that the DoIT Help Desk has renamed their News Content Module to "Support News". To review how to create and modify Content Modules, please look at this section of Customizing Your KB Site's Front Page.
- Should someone do a search on your live site, News items relevant to their search is listed on the top of the screen.
